From Karen:
After high school I attended business school in Salem.  I received a Medical Assistant degree and have worked in Orthopaedics, Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine and currently with Endocrine Specialists in Eugene.

Iam afraid that I have been married and divorced a few times, apparantly I felt the need to kiss a few frogs!  But I now have my Prince Charles the Charming.  He's an old California  Hot Rodder and currently is building a 28' Model  A.  We bought a house and fixed it up together then we got married under the two large palm trees in the backyard.  We have been together for 14 years now.

I have the two most beautiful girls in the world, Gwyn and Alanna.  And they have blessed me with 6 equally beautiful grandchildren.  My Husband has two children so I have the pleasure of being Grandma 7 more times.  Being Grandma is what old age is all about.  The fun we have together is keeping me young at heart and my body just tries to keep up----or they all help me up!!!!

I never pass an antique or second hand store and my car stops at all garage sales.  My BFF (Marcia) and I go on little vacations through the year.  We just explore Oregon.

I have been taking care of my Mom for the last 5 years and she recently went to heaven.  She also was a Redmond Union High School graduate from the same site.  I have taken her over the years to her class reunions in Redmond.

I am anxious to see all your faces.  Travel safe and see you soon.

From Gayle:

40 years?  Really!  Okay, Okay, so our hair might be gray (not Peggy's), our middle thicker, our butts broader, our wrinkles deeper, our skin less firm (isn't that a nice way to put it), but we are still here to LIVE it.  I only wish we were able to say the same for other classmates, but let's remember them, have fun and ROCK ON!

After high school, I went to college at Oregon State.  Meant my wonderful husband, Randy, in 1972 and have been married for 37 years.  We have two fantastic children, Tyler (7/78), Kylene (11/79) and three absolutely adorable grandchildren.  Our granddaughter, Macee (5/05) and identical twin boys Jaden and Bryce (9/06).  Being Nana and Gramps is the best and we are fortunate to have them live close by.

We have lived in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge since 1978.  We enjoy a beautiful view of Mt. Hood from our home.   Randy has worked for the phone company for the past 38 years.  Retirement is sounding mighty good to him.  I was a stay at home Mom while our kids were young, but have been a school secretary for the last 24 years.  I'm not yet feeling a real need to retire as I have Christmas vacation, spring vacation and my summers off to recharge.  Yes, I'm spoiled!  I have Nana Tuesday with the grandkids and you can't beat that.

We enjoy camping (in our RV please).  We just returned from a fantastic trip to Montana and Glacier Park.  What beautiful country.

Hoping for a great turnout and looking forward to seeing everyone.  I would also like to thank everyone who has played a part in planning this reunion.  The website is fantastic and everyones time and energy is very much appreciated.

From Gary:

After graduating from RHS, I attended CCC and got my associates degree. I decided to join my dad's insurance agency in Redmond and worked with him for a couple of years.  From there, I moved to Portland and became a sales manager for Lincoln Financial.

In 1976, I got tired of the corporate life and purchased a small Insurance and Real Estate vocational training school.  I convinced my brother Bruce to join me, and we expanded Barrett Schools to six campus locations throughout Oregon.  In 1981, I met my wife Ellen and a year later we were married.  Another six years later, we had my son Geoffry.

After 20 years of teaching at the schools, and several business expansions, we sold the schools and I became a textbook writer for 5 years.  During that time, my daughter Hannah arrived.  I guess I wasn't busy enough, so I went back to school and finished up some more education that I had put off for too long.

I started a small business consulting practice in addition to becoming a professor at George Fox University.  For the past five years I have been teaching business courses at the George Fox Portland Campus.

My son will be attending George Fox this fall, and my daughter will be a senior at Canby High School.  We have lived in Canby for the past 16 years, and enjoy the small town atmosphere.  It reminds me of what Redmond used to be like.

My parents live in Redmond, and Bruce lives in Bend.  We enjoy visiting with the families and reliving the memories when we get back to town.  I know you will all enjoy getting together for the 40th RHS reunion.

From Gary:

I poke around Redmond normally every July and Christmas. Mom and brother Rick live in Redmond (dad passed away in '04). Mom keeps me posted of some things. Otherwise, I hang out in Gig Harbor working full time. Working at the Redmond Air Center in the summers paid my way through college at COCC and OSU. Sold my nice horse in '73 when I went to OSU and never got back on one since, but I didn't give up the cowboy boots. Did a fair amount of hiking/backpacking/skiing in the '70's and '80's. Got religion in '80. Lost a lot of hair on top. Got married in '85. Got 3 boys after that. Since I married later, my kids are in college. As a family, we like camping and NW travel. Because of the ecomony downturn, I am working 4 days a week. If you want to go further, find me on classmates and facebook.
