October 03, 1952 Executive Assistant Married 4 Edwin Brown, Jessie Hill, John Tuck, RUHS Yes No
Hello everyone,
I'm sure most of you are thinking the same thing that I am--how in the world did 40 years go by that fast? Yikes!

After high school I moved to the big city (PDX) and worked for Portland General Electric and learned to snow ski (one of my aspirations when I was in high school). In 1973, I married the love of my life, Randy Bunch, and we have been happily married for 37 years. We have 4 children (2 sons and 2 daughters) and 8 grands with another one in the oven--due in January! We live on a 105 acre farm outside of Sweet Home and grow a variety of crops.

While our children were growing up, I mainly worked as a secretary in the Christian school they attended. I finished my bachelor's degree at the tender age of 49 and have worked for Benton Hospice Service in Corvallis for the past 7 years.

I definitely feel that my most important life's work (and most rewarding) has been to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. In fact, I want to quit my job and be a full-time grandma when I grow up :)

God has blessed me above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I am thankful for that undeserved grace.

I'm looking forward to seeing many of you at the reunion! Should be a fun time! Even if you can't make the reunion, take time to update your profile. I would love to hear what you are up to!

Professor Married 3 Edmond Brown, Jessie Hill, and John Tuck Yes No
Hi Folks,

I am really looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion. Every name I have encountered has brought back pleasant memories.

Since graduating I have lived in Oregon, Virginia, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and briefly in Alaska. Oregon has proved to be a hard state to get back to. Along the way, I collected graduate degrees in nuclear engineering and physics. I worked as a nuclear engineer in Idaho Falls, Idaho for 6 years before leaving to pursue a career in physics.

In 1979, I married Clair Fahnestock Cannon, who grew up in New Jersey and lived in Alexandria, Virginia prior to marrying me and moving to live with me in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I feel fortunate to still be married and to still be friends with her.

We were having a child each time we moved to a new state, but that was getting expensive and stressful so we stopped that habit! The children are now grown, out of the house, and make their dad look boring.  They are surprisingly friendly to their parents. We live in Washington, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh, where I participate a little bit in the local religion known as the Pittsburgh Steelers (these people are nuts!), and teach physics at Washington & Jefferson College.  I also occasionally testify as an expert witness in trials involving traffic accidents (the field is called accident reconstruction). Working in this field made me aware of the dangers of talking on cell phones while driving resulting in this
op/ed piecethat was published in the Pittsburgh newspaper.

Thanks to two hip resurfacing operations (alternatives to total hip replacement) 5 years ago, I can walk and even run. If anyone else has arthritic hips, I  recommend acting earlier rather than later.

One of the favorite things we have done over the years is to sponsor refugees (from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Ethiopia). It was a bit threatening when we agreed to do it, but what friends and what fun it turned out to be. Our children have gone farther, volunteering in a  Cambodian village and teaching at a school for orphans in Uganda.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, and to reading your stories and seeing your pictures whether you are able to attend or not. Please let your classmates hear what you have done since graduation.

December 14, 1951 general contractor Married 3 Alfalfa Grade School; RHS no US Air Force
After RHS, I spent 4 years in the Air Force, from Texas to North Dakota to Alaska and back to Texas.  I met my wife, Marge, in North Dakota.  We were married in 1973 and lived in Laredo, Texas.  After the Air Force we moved back to Central Oregon to be on the family ranch.  Our daughter Heather was born in 1975 and we lived on the ranch until May of 1979.  We moved to Eastern Oregon, living and working at Boulder Park in the Eagle Caps.  I was a guide and wrangler, while Marge cooked and cleaned at the lodge.  We spent the summer, then moved down to Cove Oregon for the winter.  I moved around jobs, from packing hod to working at the auction yard.  We moved back to Redmond in 1980, buying our first house.  In 1982 our son Ty was born.
I have worked several dozen jobs since coming back, from ranching to banking to sales and contracting.  In 1988 we bought my grandma's house on Antler.  She had owned the house for 50 years, and we have now owned it for 22 years.  I have done several remodels, I don't dare finish it, because then we have to move!!  In 1990 we adopted a 13 year old girl, Tammy.
I hunt and fish, play with the three grandkids from Heather, and try to hurt myself doing new projects.  (Check out the bald head and all my scars.)  Marge insisted on a dog 5 years ago and ended up bringing home two springer spaniels.  The saving grace is that both dogs are bird hunting dogs and they mind better than the kids did.
Hope to see everyone at the Class Reunion.  See you there.

May 27, 1952 Retired Married 2 Edwin Brown, Jessie Hill, John Tuck, Redmond High School Yes No
After high school, I attended business school in Salem and started working as a secretary for various state agencies.  I moved to Albany and worked at OSU for several years, then moved to Eugene and transferred to a job at UO.  Next I moved to Beaverton and later to Hillsboro (where I'm still living) and started working in a department of the Chancellor's Office which later after reorganization we were under PSU.  After 30 years with the State (25+ years with higher education), I retired.  My husband, Lee, and I have traveled to 36 of the states.  Last year we took our motor home (and cat) and spent 2 months in Arizona to try out the "snow-bird” lifestyle, but decided those people were too "old" for us!  I have 2 stepchildren and 5 grandchildren.  My stepson lives in West Virginia and stepdaughter lives in Florida--good reasons for a road trip! Along with traveling, we like to play golf and work in our yard.

I went to John Tuck Grade School from the 5th through the 8th grades, and then attended RHS my freshman year. My family moved to Tillamook, Oregon in the summer between my freshman and sophomore years, and I graudated from Tillamook High School. From there I went to Seattle Pacific College, and received my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. I worked for several years in Critical Care nursing, and then began teaching nursing. I got married in 1977, and had a daughter in 1989. She is now 21, and goes to college in Birmingham, Alabama. she is going to be a Physical Therapist. Since 1978, I have lived in the south; the last 26 years in Greenville, South Carolina. I retired after teaching nursing for 35 years, and am now a Nursing Consultant. I remember Redmond for many things - we lived there when they invented ZIP CODES!! 97756.... isn't that the one for Redmond? Guess I'll never forget it! Also, taking piano lessons from Mrs. Coe, spending summers at the swimming pool, going to the roller skating rink, and going to the movies downtown. Oh, yeah - and playing the trombone in the band! I wanted to play as good as Benny Bishop, but never did... sorry, Mr. Moore! It's been great looking back at the Yearbooks, and thinking about some of the great times living in Redmond! January 09, 1952 retired City of Redmond Fire Marshal Divorced Aloha, LaGrande, Lewiston Idaho, Kinzua, Fossil, Wheeler Co High, Woodrow Wilson, RUHS NO NO

My draft lottery number was too high so I didn't go to Viet Nam. Worked at the North Y Truax and then spent 3.5 years at the plywood mill. During that time I became a volunteer fireman and eventually lived at the fire station.

I was soon hired as a paid fireman and worked my way through the ranks and was able to retire in 2003 as Fire Marshal after 30 years service.

I un-adopted myself in 1995 and changed my name back to my birth name of Davis.

I like outdoor activities and recreation, working in my yard, classic cars (3), and am presently the president of the Central Oregon Street Rod Association.

I haven't done a lot of traveling,  but I spent 21 days in Australia on vacation and I've caught a 65 lb King Salmon in N Canada.
