March 22 Retired Married 2 Terrebonne, Redmond High, Ione High No No
I moved from Redmond to Ione after our Junior year so missed the RHS graduation. After graduation, I moved to Portland and worked for the county and state and married Bruce in 1973. We have two children and 5 grandchildren and love being grandparents!

Bruce went into the Air Force in the early 1980's so we were able to spend some time traveling around the states and overseas and after he retired we moved back to the Pacific Northwest in late 2000.

We currently have a home in Vancouver, WA and a second home in Manzanita, OR. We spend about half our time at the beach house and enjoy our time at both locations. We enjoy being retired and being able to set our own schedules most of the time (Bruce still works part-time).

Thank you to the organizing group--a big job.
See you soon.

May 29, 1952 Accountant Married 2 redmond all years no Navy
Sounds like this will be fun. Looking forward to the event.

I left Redmond for a short time. After graduation I went to Idaho, worked in a small sawmill for a few months, then back home and joined the Navy.

Discharged honorably in 73. Back to Redmond. Sawmills, plywood plants and then the dreaded pink slip. Closing the mill.

Went to college, COCC, SOSC, U of P, grad with BA in Business-Major Acctng.

Commissioned with the Internal Revenue Service from 1981 thry 1993. Resigned commission and started own business here in Redmond. Office located where my parents home was, which I used as my office until I decided to rebuild in 2009.

Have been with the same lady since the year after we graduated. Seems like it might be a lasting thing, what ya think?

June 21, 1952 dairy farmer, wife, grandma Married 2 Brown, Hill, Tuck,RHS no no

Steve and I got married in 1974 and lived on the dairy in Tumalo and later became partners with his parents.  We had two kids, Randy and Sarah.  We've been dairying now for 36 years and it's been a good life but hard work.  I'm now slowing down somewhat because I babysit my grandson, Chance, while my daughter does my chores.  It's a good trade off.  He's so precious and a great deal of fun.  He is our only grandchild, so far.  My son just got married this last month so maybe we'll be blessed with more grandchildren some day.

It was a lot of fun seeing everyone at the reunion.  It had been so long, but everyone looked great,  Hope we do this again in 5 or 10 years.

September 24, 1952 teacher Married 3 Edwin Brown, Jessie Hill, John Tuck, Mountain View (Corvallis), Redmond High School Yes No

Can it be 40 years already! Oh, yes, I just looked in the mirror and yes it has been 40 years since I crossed that stage and received my high school diploma!

After I graduated from Redmond High, I attended COCC and OSU. Then, in 1972, I married Dave Putnam—we will soon be celebrating our 38th year together!

We have 3 children—all of them are married and working. Our oldest daughter works as a physical therapist in Klamath Falls, our son works in Bend for Pacific Power in Operations Management, and our youngest daughter attends Portland State working on a Masters Degree in Music Education. In February, our oldest daughter presented us with our first grandson! Morgan Ray is adorable! I am glad I have lived long enough to enjoy the joy that grandchildren bring to our lives!

After 18 years as a stay-at-home Mom (which I loved being) and working part-time jobs, I decided to go back to school to earn a Masters in Teaching Elementary Education. I love my work and working with elementary children keeps me young!

Our relaxation hours (!?) have been spent building/developing 80 acres west of Redmond. Three years ago, our youngest daughter asked to be married on our ranch that we first purchased in 1982. Now, our ranch didn’t have anything on it except a well house and a watering trough! Of course, we said “yes”, little did I realize the overwhelming and all consuming task of moving a 2 car garage and creating a 40’ x 60’ barn complete with kitchen and bathrooms! Then, BLM decided to put in a recreational motorcycle path around our 80 acres so that meant that we had to fence the entire 80 acres! This city girl has learned a lot about building and living with a workaholic!!
We still live in Redmond at the corner of 27th and SW Canal, please stop in and visit awhile!
Looking forward to the 40th Reunion and connecting with ‘old’ friends!
See ya’ soon!!

February 05, 1952 Marketing Married 4 Newberg, John Tuck, RHS No No

The funny part is, I remember how old the people having 40 year reunions seemed when we were in High School!

Huge thanks to the committee that put together the reunion.  I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

 A quick c.v.:

After RHS, started college and then went on a two-year Spanish-speaking mission for the LDS Church in Chicago.

Graduated from college, Brigham Young University, 1977.

Graduated from Law School, Willamette University, Salem OR, 1980.

Married the lovely Meadena Jill Harker, of Glenwood, Colorado, 1978.

We have four children, Jill, Jamison, Preston, and Juliana.  Two grandchildren.

The picture is Meadena and I with our newest grandaughter on her blessing day in London, May of this year.

I mostly practiced law from 1980 in my own small firm in Corvallis and Portland until I retired from law practice in 2002.

Currently working a small family contracting business.

We still get to Redmond from time to time, to see my brother Pete, and sister Vicki.

I have been richly blessed with a wonderful wife, great kids, beautiful grandchildren, good friends, and an interesting life.

Life has been a lot of things, some expected, some unexpected, but it hasn’t ever been boring!

April 18, 1952 nursing supervisor at Oregon State Hospital Married 3 all 18 years in Redmond school district Yes no
Hi everyone! It's so fun reading what you each have been doing since the old high school days.

After graduation I went to business college in Eugene. Came back to Central Oregon and worked for several doctors offices in Bend. I landed in Salem (where I still live) and returned to college two more times to obtain a nursing degree and then for a degree in management. Went to work for Oregon State Hospital in 1978. I worked there for 18 years. Then managed the medical department in the local jail x 9 years. Tried working a few other jobs (SAIF, prison, health dept.) until I've found myself back at Oregon State Hospital again working with mentally ill offenders. I have 32 years in with government and have considered retirement - but I love my job!

In 1986 I married the love of my life Dennis. Together we raised his two children and one daughter I came to the marriage with.

I won't be at the reunion - it happens to be held on the same weekend as our anniversary and family always comes first in my life.  For those of you who do attend, I hope it's a blast!
