June 30, 1952 Bookkeeper/Office manager Married 5 Columbia City, Madras, Redmond and Madras Yes No
After graduation I went to COCC.  Got married in 1971 and have been married to the same guy for almost 39 years.  Worked in the school for a year then at the Extension Service for 4 1/2 years until my first daughter was born in 1977.  My second daughter was born in 1979.  In 1982 My third daughter was born and we thought enough is enough but in 1988 I had twin daughters and am so happy to have them all in my life.  (Yes 5 daughters).  When my twins were 4 years old I went back to work as a bookkeeper/office manager and have been there ever since for 18 years.  I did start my own bookkeeping service for 2 1/2 years keeping mostly construction companies books in my spare time.

Four of my daughters are married and I have 6 beautiful granddaughters ranging in age from 13 down to 3.  Then finally I got a grandson - a boy after all the girls and he is now 2.   My husband was an electrician who is now retired.  We have lived in Culver by the lake since 1972.

We will be out of town when the reunion takes place so everyone have a great time!

Office Manager Married 2 Edwin Brown, Jessie Hill, John Tuck, RHS Yes US Army, 1970 - 1972
WOW, forty years time does fly when you are having fun.  After graduation I enlisted in the US Army and was stationed on the east coast at Fort Meyer, VA, my duty station the Pentagon.  After leaving the service I ended up in Arkansas and attended Arkansas State University.  I returned to Oregon in August of 1976, married Bill Shaffer (now for 34 years), we have 2 great sons and one beautiful daughter-in-law.

One of our sons lives in Portland and the other in Keizer.  We have lived in Keizer, Oregon for 21 years now.

I have had several jobs over the years in retail, grocery, EMT and in business management.  I had my own business for 7 - 8 years when my sons were younger which allowed me to work at home and be here for them.  I was (still am) a scout leader and involved with our scout district.  Currently I work in Salem for an Architectural firm as their Office Manager and have been there for twelve years now, and hopefully will be until I retire.

My favorite job was being a mom and raising our sons, although I hear being a grandparent is the best.  Not having any experience in that field yet, I am told we will be finding out all about it in few years.

We are looking forward to doing some traveling in our vintage Airstream that Bill is restoring.  We own an older home so spend alot of time fixing it up, remodeling and working in the yard and garden.

Can't wait to see everyone that can make it in August and if you can't make it, be sure to leave a profile so we can see what you have been up to.

December 31, 1951 Medically retired Widowed 1 Too many to name! Dad was in Air Force 23 years. One school in New Mexico - 1st grade, three in Germany - 2-5 grade, two in Maryland - 6, 7, 8 grades, one in Texas - 9th grade, and Redmond High School - 10, 11, & 12 grades. Yes Air Force, Intelligence
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

After kicking around & trying different things (including marriage & go nowhere jobs) for 4 years after graduation, I joined the Air Force.  Had a hard time committing to the 4 years, but ended up staying for 20 years.  That was the smartest thing I have ever done!  Was in Intelligence for 15 years, Automated Intelligence Systems Analyst (computers) 3 years, then Host Organization System Manager (again computers) 2 years.
Husband died right before I retired, but continued with retirement plans-came back to Oregon, attended Western Business College for front office medical assistant.  After 3 1/2 years working, had to medically retire due to job related injury.
Went back to school & earned AAS in Landscape & focused on Landscape Design.  Bought 9 1/2 acres 10 miles outside of Estacada.  It was the perfect place, a dream come true.  When the neighbor from hell bought property adjoining mine, a legal fight has been going now for several years.
Plans changed-gave up any idea of starting landscape design business, & after being assaulted on my property (related to legal mess), I've been sort of in limbo, waiting for the legal mess to finish.  Not sure what direction life will take me, but I have temporarily moved to a RV park for personal safety reasons.  I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Toby that is my service dog & is a real sweetheart & goes with me everywhere.  He is the most laid-back Jack anyone has ever seen!!  He's a couch potato, bed bug, lap sitter, & loves to cuddle.  Most definately a people dog, happy all the time, loves to play.  While I don't show or have him compete, we go to the JRT Fun Days and Tristate JRT activities.  He & I have a ton of fun, & is a nice break for us.
The legal mess finally came to an end and have since sold the property and relocated to Stockton, California.  I have an aunt and two cousins that live here.  I am in the process of buying a house in the University of the Pacific area of Stockton.   I am still in the process of sorting through everything since almost all of my belongings have been in storage for several years - just in time to move again!    I should close on the house this week, will move some things this week and next, then save the big stuff after I get back.  Really looking forward to the reunion!

retired Married Tumalo Elementary & Redmond Union HIgh yes no
I left Central Oregon 3 days after graduation, moved to Portland, got a job in the printing & graphics field, I worked in that field for 12 years and retired when we started our family.

I met my husband, Jess, at church and we married in May of 1972. We lived in the Portland area until 1979; we bought property in the Molalla area, we built from the ground up, it was nothing but brush and blackberries.

Our children, Justin, born in 1982 and Jill born in 1984 have grown up here. They attended schools in Colton and both graduated from Colton high school. Both are now married. Justin married in October and  lives in Mulino, near here, so we see he and Elisa frequently.

I have a granddaughter, Jade, almost 4 who now lives in Tucon, AZ with her parents.  They left here when Jade was 3 mos. old, it broke my heart to have my two babies move so far away. Jill's husband, Dustin, (can get confusing) is based in Tucson on the Monthon-Davis Air Force base and has been to Afghanistan twice. We are very proud of him for serving our country.

My husband, Jess, is a Portland Police sergeant and retires in 3 years. We will be moving to Oro Valley, near Tucson when he retires. We have a house there now and have visiting frequently. He is a certified CFII (pilot) and will be teaching at Double Eagle Aviation school when we get down there.

We love it there and can hardly wait. My daughter and her family just happen to be a great big bonus.

August 12, 1952 Attorney Divorced Brown, Hill, Tuck, RHS Yes No
Thanks for all your work in putting the reunion together.

I went to college and law school at Notre Dame, returned to Redmond to practice law and then went to Washington to work for Cong. Bob Smith.  Other than returning to Oregon to work on Sen. Gordon Smith's Senate races, I have spent most of my time in Washington where I have worked for Cong. Bob Smith, Sen. Gordon Smith, Sen. Conrad Burns (MT) and Sen. George Allen (VA). I now am a dreaded lobbyist.

I get back to Redmond regularly to see my dad who still lives at home, my brother Alan who is a Deschutes County Commissioner, my brother Todd who is pastor at St. Thomas Catholic Church and my brother Craig who just retired from the Redmond Police Department.
