January 15, 1953 Retired - State of Oregon http://www.etsy.com/people/CarterCreekQuilts Married 1 Siuslaw Elementary, Siuslaw Grade, Siuslaw Jr High, Redmond High, Crook County High Yes No
After I graduated, I went to Phagens beauty school in Bend for a few months.  In 1971, I moved to Salem & went to work for the State of Oregon.  I worked for several agencies throughout the years & retired from Dept of Corrections in 2003.  Most of my State career was as Human Resources Manager.
I've been married to a great guy for over 34 years.  We moved to the country in 1996 to the small community of Lacomb (or "Hooterville" as we like to call it).  We have a small acreage but room enough for all our critters.
Most of my non-work interests are hot rods & motorcycles.  Yeah...I'm an old "motor head."  I've ridden dirt bikes since the 70s, started motocross at age 38 but haven't done any lately.  Since retiring, I bought a "cruiser" & now just hit the highways mostly.  During my time at home, I do quilting & have a business designing quilt patterns.

In 1977 number 3 showed up and enough was enough.  Came back to the State and settled in Stockton Ca. till the ship was sent to the east coast for repairs.  Was there till 1989 when Cliff retired from the Navy.Have been in Redmond ever since. January 09, 1952 retired City of Redmond Fire Marshal Divorced Aloha, LaGrande, Lewiston Idaho, Kinzua, Fossil, Wheeler Co High, Woodrow Wilson, RUHS NO NO

My draft lottery number was too high so I didn't go to Viet Nam. Worked at the North Y Truax and then spent 3.5 years at the plywood mill. During that time I became a volunteer fireman and eventually lived at the fire station.

I was soon hired as a paid fireman and worked my way through the ranks and was able to retire in 2003 as Fire Marshal after 30 years service.

I un-adopted myself in 1995 and changed my name back to my birth name of Davis.

I like outdoor activities and recreation, working in my yard, classic cars (3), and am presently the president of the Central Oregon Street Rod Association.

I haven't done a lot of traveling,  but I spent 21 days in Australia on vacation and I've caught a 65 lb King Salmon in N Canada.

April 08 structural engineer Married 3 Rogue River SD, then Redmond HS for junior and senior years yes no

I poke around Redmond normally every July and Christmas. Mom and brother Rick live in Redmond (dad passed away in '04). Mom keeps me posted of some things. Otherwise, I hang out in Gig Harbor working full time. Working at the Redmond Air Center in the summers paid my way through college at COCC and OSU. Sold my nice horse in '73 when I went to OSU and never got back on one since, but I didn't give up the cowboy boots. Did a fair amount of hiking/backpacking/skiing in the '70's and '80's. Got religion in '80. Lost a lot of hair on top. Got married in '85. Got 3 boys after that. Since I married later, my kids are in college. As a family, we like camping and NW travel. Because of the ecomony downturn, I am working 4 days a week. If you want to go further, find me on classmates and facebook.

December 31, 1951 Medically retired Widowed 1 Too many to name! Dad was in Air Force 23 years. One school in New Mexico - 1st grade, three in Germany - 2-5 grade, two in Maryland - 6, 7, 8 grades, one in Texas - 9th grade, and Redmond High School - 10, 11, & 12 grades. Yes Air Force, Intelligence
Looking forward to seeing everyone!

After kicking around & trying different things (including marriage & go nowhere jobs) for 4 years after graduation, I joined the Air Force.  Had a hard time committing to the 4 years, but ended up staying for 20 years.  That was the smartest thing I have ever done!  Was in Intelligence for 15 years, Automated Intelligence Systems Analyst (computers) 3 years, then Host Organization System Manager (again computers) 2 years.
Husband died right before I retired, but continued with retirement plans-came back to Oregon, attended Western Business College for front office medical assistant.  After 3 1/2 years working, had to medically retire due to job related injury.
Went back to school & earned AAS in Landscape & focused on Landscape Design.  Bought 9 1/2 acres 10 miles outside of Estacada.  It was the perfect place, a dream come true.  When the neighbor from hell bought property adjoining mine, a legal fight has been going now for several years.
Plans changed-gave up any idea of starting landscape design business, & after being assaulted on my property (related to legal mess), I've been sort of in limbo, waiting for the legal mess to finish.  Not sure what direction life will take me, but I have temporarily moved to a RV park for personal safety reasons.  I have a Jack Russell Terrier named Toby that is my service dog & is a real sweetheart & goes with me everywhere.  He is the most laid-back Jack anyone has ever seen!!  He's a couch potato, bed bug, lap sitter, & loves to cuddle.  Most definately a people dog, happy all the time, loves to play.  While I don't show or have him compete, we go to the JRT Fun Days and Tristate JRT activities.  He & I have a ton of fun, & is a nice break for us.
The legal mess finally came to an end and have since sold the property and relocated to Stockton, California.  I have an aunt and two cousins that live here.  I am in the process of buying a house in the University of the Pacific area of Stockton.   I am still in the process of sorting through everything since almost all of my belongings have been in storage for several years - just in time to move again!    I should close on the house this week, will move some things this week and next, then save the big stuff after I get back.  Really looking forward to the reunion!

May 29, 1952 Accountant Married 2 redmond all years no Navy
Sounds like this will be fun. Looking forward to the event.

I left Redmond for a short time. After graduation I went to Idaho, worked in a small sawmill for a few months, then back home and joined the Navy.

Discharged honorably in 73. Back to Redmond. Sawmills, plywood plants and then the dreaded pink slip. Closing the mill.

Went to college, COCC, SOSC, U of P, grad with BA in Business-Major Acctng.

Commissioned with the Internal Revenue Service from 1981 thry 1993. Resigned commission and started own business here in Redmond. Office located where my parents home was, which I used as my office until I decided to rebuild in 2009.

Have been with the same lady since the year after we graduated. Seems like it might be a lasting thing, what ya think?

September 29, 1951 Retired Married 2 Ochoco Elementary, John Tuck, RHS No No

40 years...where does time go? How do you sum up 40 years in a couple of paragraphs? Before I start telling about my path of life, and subsequent accomplishments, it is only fair to post the disclaimer that this will be to the best of my ability to remember them, and may or may not correctly include all the facts. I am fairly certain that I have never climbed Mt. Everest, or argued a case before the US Supreme Court. However...dogs, family members and the assorted person seem to like me in spite of my lack of notoriety.

Looking in the rear view mirror at Redmond after graduation, I have traveled many roads. I went on to higher education, and ultimately the school of life. My careers have included Flight Instructor, Oregon State Trooper and assorted titles working for the federal government in both fire control and aviation that spanned nearly 30 years. I’ve lived in Oregon, Idaho and Alaska wearing different "hats" while climbing the career ladder. Some of them have been: Smokejumper, Smokejumper Pilot, Lead Plane Pilot, ending with Regional Aviation officer. The final 13 years of my career was spent in Juneau, Alaska where I retired in 2002. My work was challenging, rewarding and dangerous. I feel extremely fortunate to have survived in my chosen profession, as many of my peers did not. The luxury of retiring at age 50 was a welcome one.

The sage advice of "work to live, not live to work" is well said and I have tried to follow it. After my first marriage failed, I was lucky enough to find love and marry again. Cindy and I have been together for over 35 years, and have raised two fine sons. Watching our boys participate and have success with sports, hunting and fishing has given me many of my greatest joys. They are both grown, on their own, and doing well. Neither are married, and as far as we know...there are no grandchildren either.

After retirement we moved to NW British Columbia, Canada along the banks of the Skeena River. It is a simple life in beautiful surroundings, with great hunting and fishing. A good place to be.

I was hoping that the reunion might be scheduled for June, as the river is flooding at that time from the spring run-off, but by August fishing is in full swing.  My time is usually spoken for a year in advance by family and friends that want to visit and have a chance to catch some nice fish too.  Cindy would be really "annoyed" if I left her in charge of the cooking, cleaning, entertaining and fishing duties for those already planning on heading north.

I will toast my classmates for good health and happiness while you are having fun at the reunion, from the banks of the Skeena. Thanks to the web managers' help, you can see some pictures of our place by clicking here, or going to the Photo Albums page of this site.
